Metacognitive Awareness
~Metacognitive #1~

I need to work on my capacity for sustained, focused attention, which I can do by actually shutting off my phone completely and really investing myself in the book for extended amounts of time. It really helps me understand the book better too, when I can lose myself in the story without distractions.
I also need to work on my tolerance for failure. Instead of pretending a part of the book that I didn't understand/didn't like didn't happen, I'll go back and re-read to figure out what went wrong in my head. Many times I've lost important parts of books because I'll get frustrated and just pretend those parts don't exist and continue.
